Working within SGNs Regulation department, the Regulatory Finance Analyst will be multi-disciplined in supporting both our regulatory reporting requirements as well as supporting ad hoc requirements when required by our regulator.

* Assist in gathering and checking data inputs for regulatory submissions, ensuring consistency, accuracy and clarity.
* Support the review of Ofgem publications from both a financial aspect and alignment with licence conditions.
* Help to identify data gaps or inconsistencies and raise them with relevant stakeholders to support robust regulatory submissions.
* Review and consolidation of regional factor information and the supporting evidence that feeds into normalisation approaches used within Ofgem cost efficiency modelling suite.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders in presenting the allowance information for the purposes of budget setting and ongoing internal benchmarking.

* Experience of data analysis and manipulation techniques
* Experience liaising across departments
* Excellent interpersonal skills to develop effective working relationships
* Excellent organisational skills to ensure that work is delivered to tight timescales
* A flexible approach and willingness to engage across the wider business
* A highly self-motivated approach with a positive attitude
In addition, these skills that would be beneficial to this role:
* Understanding of the regulatory framework that SGN operates
* Knowledge of the Operational activities within the business
* A degree or equivalent in either Finance, Business or Economics
* Experience working with CBA techniques
