Facilities Officer
Full‑time and part‑time roles available.
Overview
This is a workplace based, key operational role and you will be an active part of a multi‑disciplinary team across several sites. You will support staff and public service delivery, ensuring operational excellence by maintaining high standards of compliance, cleanliness, customer service and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a motivated and flexible individual to help us ensure our buildings are safe, efficient and welcoming for staff, residents and service users. In this role you’ll work across multiple locations within the Borough, so a full UK driving licence is essential. You may also be required to drive a Council vehicle while on duty. Training in first aid and other relevant disciplines will be provided if you’re not already qualified.
Qualifications
* Experience working effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
* The ability to manage deadlines, meet performance indicators and respond confidently to issues as they arise
* A strong track record of working with a range of internal and external partners
* Knowledge and practical experience across a variety of Facilities Management duties — including Health & Safety, legislative requirements, and completing documentation electronically and on paper
* A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to follow Council procedures and best practice
Work Schedule
This role may entail early morning, early evening and weekend shift work, so a flexible approach to work is required.
