Job Title: Record to Report (R2R) Supervisor
Rate: Competitive in line with skills / experience

Location: Hybrid (Manchester)
My client, a global organisation are currently looking for an experienced finance professional with a passion for process improvement, team leadership, and driving compliance to join on an initial 6 month contract. In the is role you will lead a team of accountants and analysts in delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring efficient Record to Report processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise daily operations within the R2R team: journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective R2R solutions.
* Drive continuous improvement and automation of R2R processes.
* Ensure integrity of financial data across systems by coordinating with AP, AR, and FP&A teams.
* Support and lead testing, validation, and documentation of R2R process enhancements.
* Maintain and monitor internal controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Provide support during internal and external audits through timely documentation and resolution of queries.
* Stay up-to-date on financial reporting standards and industry best practices.
* Contribute to strategic projects through planning, timeline management, and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Record to Report or financial accounting roles.
* University degree in Business, Finance, or related field (in progress accepted).
* Accounting qualifications preferred (CPA, CIMA – in progress acceptable).
* Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
* Strong expertise in SAP R2R processes and SAP implementations.
* Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, month-end close, and internal controls.
* Prior experience with GBSO finance workstreams and process optimization.
* Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate audit activities.
* Solid understanding of budget processes and reporting requirements.
