Job Title: Hand Sewing Operative We are looking for Hand Sewers to join our growing team in Hawick. This is a permanent, full-time, working 38 hours per week on a dayshift position. Different hours can be discussed with the right candidate. Rate of pay for this role is £13.08 per hour, increasing to £13.45 in May 2026. Full training will be provided, but if you have experience in this role or something similar, your expertise will be highly valued and welcomed. About the Role In this role you will be: Hand sewing fine details, logos and labels onto luxury accessories Finishing products by attaching trims accurately according to measurements Matching patterns and knit structures to ensure a high-quality finish Working with a variety of styles of luxury accessories Handling premium fibres, including cashmere, with care and precision About You You will: Be a confident & experienced hand sewer, competent working on luxury product Have excellent hand eye co-ordination Enjoy focusing on fine details and ensuring product is completed correctly About Us Founded in 1797, Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative, luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the world’s finest fibres.
