Job: Finance Analyst
Duration: FTC – 14 months
Salary: up to £29k doe
Location: Hybrid with travel to our HO in Northampton
Purpose of Role
As a Finance Analyst you will be responsible for the development, production and review of management reports which provide relevant and timely information on the financial performance of the business. This will include, but is not restricted to, the production and review of monthly management accounts, balance sheets (including balance sheet reconciliations), forecasts and budgets.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations
Timely and accurate posting of accounting transactions
Monthly P&L variance analysis to ensure all transactions are appropriate and substantiated
Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
Identification of risks and opportunities
Supporting with the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting where necessary
Perform ad-hoc analysis as required
Collaborate and communicate with other Finance Departments
Work effectively with different parts of the organisation to achieve common goals
Keep up to date with organisational changes, financial regulations and the market place
Respond appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality
Interact with Internal and External Auditors
Essential Experience
Experience in Month end Accounting
Balance Sheet experience
Experience in forecasting and budgeting
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
Part Qualified or Qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
Will consider QBE with relevant experience
Experience Desirable
Knowledge of US GAAP
