Constant improvement of production manufacturing process and product quality through regular audit of the plant production process, continuous training & coaching plant operators, development of process checks and spread the use of Standard Operating Procedures with high respect of safety, environment and cost. To safeguard the production processes Health and Safety aspects for all UK plants in term of safe operational practices (safety process thresholds, operators process set-points, etc.) To constantly develop the process operation knowledge as well as excellence practices aiming for a high degree of competence and autonomy of Omya UK key production personnel. To maximise Omya UK plant process efficiency by conducting regular audits and follow the recommendations implementation. Regularly review the operator targets in relation to safe operation practice and conduct test/simulations to test the operational functionality. Regularly review the operational health and safety standards compliance linked to process operations as well as generation of safe conditions for any intervention. Ensure the H&S permit system is fully in use, maintaining a rigorous monitoring on daily basis. Design and implement a clear competency development programme for the control room operators and regularly evaluate their progress in relation to efficiency in process operation. Oversee the production operation practices, regularly improving the standard operating procedures. To manage the production control room operator's performance (define personal objectives, teams KPIs, regular progress monitoring, etc.) To actively support the plant in process troubleshooting, proposing recommendations and follow-up on their implementation. Also, lead the RCA analysis for process and product quality related incidents/events. To perform mini-audits of specific areas of the manufacturing process to evaluate the gaps in performance and propose recommendations. To define the process operations targets, monitor the gaps and act in timely manner to reduce/remove the deviations.
