IMC Strategist (Beauty)

Role Overview


A strategic role working in partnership with SEEN Group’s senior team to provide strategic counsel and implementation across the client portfolio and new business.


Responsible for ensuring strategic excellence across the client portfolio, this role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, strong PR knowledge and a deep understanding of the beauty industry and landscape.


This role extends beyond traditional communications strategy, sitting at the intersection of communications, culture and integrated marketing, bringing a more idea-led, campaign-driven approach to how we respond to client briefs and opportunities.


The role will collaborate closely with internal teams and wider SEEN Group divisions to ensure integrated, high-impact strategic outputs across all channels.


Roles & Responsibilities


Client

* Acts as a strategic partner across the client portfolio, working with senior teams to identify opportunities for involvement across clients of varying scale.
* Attends relevant client meetings to provide insight, conclusions and opportunities that meet client objectives and business needs.
* Translate client briefs into integrated, culturally relevant strategies that go beyond traditional PR outputs
* Develop idea-led responses that connect communications with brand, experience, content and wider campaign activity
* Identify opportunities for brands to show up in culture in a way that feels distinctive and relevant
* Proactively shares key insights and information to support ongoing strategic inspiration for clients.



Strategy & Cultural Insight

* Lead on identifying cultural trends, behaviours and shifts relevant to client brands
* Develop proactive, unprovoked ideas rooted in culture, not just media opportunity
* Bring a strong understanding of how audiences engage with brands across multiple channels
* Contribute to shaping more integrated (IMC) approaches across the business
* Evaluates and measures the success and quality of strategic outputs to ensure ongoing optimisation and effectiveness.


Team

* Supports and reviews strategy work across the business, providing team counsel, inspiration and learning opportunities.
* Works collaboratively across teams and divisions to enable effective cross-agency working.
* Partner closely with creative, comms and experience teams to ensure strategies translate into strong execution
* Contribute to building a more connected approach between strategy, creative and delivery


Industry

* Attends relevant industry events, networks and workshops to gain insights that inform strategic outputs.
* Maintains strong awareness of media, culture and the beauty/lifestyle landscape to inform client thinking.
* Demonstrates a strong instinct for what is culturally relevant and commercially impactful
* Understands how brands can move beyond traditional PR into broader campaign thinking


Business

* Supports strategic outputs for new business proposals, working closely with internal teams.
* Partners with senior leadership to contribute to new business strategy and growth.
* Contribute to idea generation for pitches and new opportunities
* Support the development of more integrated campaign thinking in new business responses


What We’re Looking For

* Strong background in communications strategy within an agency environment
* Deep understanding of the beauty / lifestyle landscape

Ability to think beyond PR and into:

Proven ability to:

* generate strong, original ideas
* translate thinking into compelling narratives
* Excellent communication and presentation skills


Nice to Have
