Head of Strategy, Programmes and Innovation
This is a fixed‑term post – 21 months (backfill for a Secondment)
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior leadership role of Head of Strategy, Programmes and Innovation within the Digital Services Directorate. This is a Board‑wide role, reporting to the Director of Digital Services and working as a member of the eHealth Senior Management Team. This role is an excellent opportunity to lead and deliver the Board’s Digital Strategy and the day‑to‑day running of a large number of highly complex programmes and projects, including significant service reconfiguration and system development.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest healthcare provider in Scotland, serving a population of approximately 1.3 m, through the provision of a comprehensive range of Acute, Mental Health and Community Care services.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver the Board’s Digital Strategy.
* Manage the day‑to‑day running of large, complex programmes and projects.
* Support the development and implementation of medium‑to‑long‑term digital strategy.
* Work across all clinical specialties and with other NHS Scotland boards and key stakeholders.
* Drive transformational change while maintaining a patient‑centred focus.
Qualifications
* Significant experience of operating at a senior strategic level.
* Demonstrable staff management and development experience.
* Financial management experience.
* Experience of developing and implementing strategic change.
* Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Degree‑level qualification and senior‑level management experience within the NHS.
