A well-established regional law firm with offices in Essex and London is seeking an experienced Residential Lawyer to join its Brentwood team. Recognised for its high standards and client-focused approach, the firm holds CQS accreditation and handles a broad mix of residential property transactions. The Role
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and high-performing residential property department, managing a broad caseload with appropriate supervision. The role involves handling transactions from instruction to post-completion and contributing to the team's ongoing success through client service and business development.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing residential conveyancing transactions including:
o Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
o New build acquisitions
o High-value and complex property matters
o Auction transactions
o Remortgages, shared ownership, Help to Buy
o Transfers of equity and personal guarantees
* Ensuring files are progressed efficiently and in line with compliance requirements
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Participating in marketing, networking, and business development activities
Candidate Profile
* Minimum 4 years' experience in residential property law preferred (less experienced candidates with the right skills and potential may also be considered)
* Sound technical knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures
* Ability to manage files independently with excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and client care focus
* Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
* Confident in developing business and contributing to the firm's growth
