Working closely with the Contract Manager and Cleaning Manager, you will oversee the daily delivery of cleaning services, supervise staff, and ensure that high standards are consistently achieved. What You’ll Do Lead, train, and support cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of work and compliance with safety protocols. Allocate tasks, create staff rotas, and manage absences, sickness, and holiday cover. Monitor stock levels, control usage of cleaning materials, and report supply needs. Conduct regular inspections, quality checks, and monthly safety walks. Maintain safe working practices, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and company policies. Liaise with maintenance and other departments to resolve issues quickly. Handle administration, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and reporting to management. Deliver excellent customer service, responding promptly to concerns from staff, students, and visitors. Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, and used safely. Support training needs, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives. Step in to cover operational needs during holidays, sickness, or special requests. What You’ll Bring Essential: Proven experience in cleaning or housekeeping. Supervisory experience with strong leadership skills. Good communication skills and the ability to motivate a team. Solid knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment, and chemicals. Strong customer service focus. High levels of personal hygiene and presentation. Commitment to health & safety compliance.
