We have an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our new distribution centre in Ellesmere Port.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our maintenance team and help resolve, repair issues and maintain equipment in our site. Working full time, reporting into our Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with 3rd party contracts to ensure best value
2. H&S Requirements, site compliance being key, i.e., PUWER/LOLER etc
3. Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations
4. Planned maintenance schedules are followed and actioned effectively
5. To work within the Facilities teams to resolve, repair issues and maintain equipment, assisting with quotes and project work
6. React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue
7. Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements
Skills and Experience:
8. The right candidate would have warehouse automation experience as the company looks to open our new warehouse
9. Served a full Engineering indentured Apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City & Guilds EAL, SVQ/IVQ, BTEC all at Level 3)
10. Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
11. Experience of setting standards and implementing on them site
12. Warehouse internals i.e. Racking/dock doors/dock lifting systems/ sprinklers/lighting/power distribution/plumbing/joinery and general repair works
13. Organise and prioritise multiple maintenance works
14. Good communication skills within a team but also working alongside operations
