We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic CNC Turner with basic operating experience to join our clients team based in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a precision engineering environment, with support and training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate CNC turning machines under supervision
* Load and unload components from the machine
* Carry out basic quality checks using measuring tools (e.g., callipers, micrometres)
* Read and follow basic engineering drawings and work instructions
* Keep the work area clean and organised in line with health and safety standards
* Assist skilled machinists and contribute to general workshop tasks as required
Requirements:
* Some experience operating CNC lathes or turning machines (training can be provided)
* Basic understanding of machining processes and workshop practices
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Keen to learn and develop new skills
* Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Desirable (but not essential):
* Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
* Basic knowledge of cutting tools and materials
* Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment
