Futures recruitment are working for a well known manufacturing business in South Yorkshire. We are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager to work on a large single site. This is not a “steady-state” Health & Safety role — it's an opportunity for a proven professional to build, influence and embed a robust H&S framework from the ground up. The Role
As Health & Safety Manager, you will take full ownership of the H&S agenda across the manufacturing operation. You'll work closely with site leadership and operational teams to create structure, consistency and accountability, while maintaining a pragmatic, commercially aware approach.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Designing and implementing the full Health & Safety management system from scratch
2. Leading risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work across manufacturing operations
3. Ensuring compliance with UK H&S legislation and relevant industry standards
4. Embedding a proactive safety culture, influencing behaviours at all levels of the business
