Could you be a Sense Casual Support Worker?
It's an exciting time at Sense, as we now have an opportunity for a Casual Support Worker to join our team in our Short Breaks (Respite) Service located in Newtownabbey.
This is a casual role with flexible hours to suit you. We work flexibly across the week to offer part-time, full-time, and relief/bank contracts.
Sense offers £11.75 per hour.
Due to expansion, we have this exciting opportunity to join a high-quality, person-centered service supporting adults with complex needs.
The role is based in our 2-bedded Short Breaks Residential service, supporting adults with complex needs.
The work involves varied shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, evenings, and days. We seek individuals who want flexibility but can commit and share our values — a great entry point into the care sector!
We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are:

* Passionate about enhancing others’ lives.
* Willing to attend training as needed.
No two days will be the same
At Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the lives they choose. Your priority will be empowering the people you support to live independently.
This role might include supporting people with:
* Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
* Personal care and hygiene.
* Finances.
* Medication and wellbeing.
* Going into the community for shopping or trips.
* Their social life and nightlife.
Note: This role may include regular sleep-in shifts, which involve sleeping at the residence and possibly waking to provide care during the night.
