KPMG Job Specification – Indirect Tax (VAT/Customs) – Assistant Manager / Manager / Associate Director

* Accounting and/or UK tax qualification (Chartered Accountant or equivalent, Chartered Institute of Tax)
* Strong technical knowledge of tax
* Minimum of three years in a professional environment

* Responsibility for an indirect tax portfolio of NI, cross border & multinational clients.
* Working with supportive Partners and Directors on both tax compliance and advisory engagements.
* Liaising with clients and advising on all relevant tax issues.
* Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs on client’s behalf and seeking rulings on certain tax positions.
* Responsibility for training and monitoring associates together with reviewing their work.
* Liaising with other departments e.g. Deal Advisory to ensure advice and projects are successfully completed.
* Strong interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm are a pre-requisite for this role.
