Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Reed Engineering are working with a long established and respected company who are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team in the food manufacturing sector. As their site continues to grow and secure orders from both existing and new customers, this role is essential for maintaining the high efficiency and reliability of their production lines.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Perform total preventative maintenance and address breakdowns of all mechanical and electrical nature to minimise downtime in production.
* Ensure that the machinery and facility layout are optimized for the best performance possible.
* Provide both reactive and proactive maintenance services on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure, crucial for continuous production.
* Lead the site maintenance function, delivering effective, time-sensitive repairs, including prioritisation of tasks.
* Manage weekend Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and contractor control to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Uphold stringent hygiene and safety standards, complying with food safety regulations and practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Nationally recognised qualification in Engineering, relevant to your discipline (electrical or mechanical), ideally with experience in the food manufacturing industry.
* Extensive experience in a plant-level role with significant proven expertise in a food production environment.
* Strong understanding of food safety and quality regulations.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage tasks and interact with team members.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food processing machinery and continuous improvement practices.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and engineering-specific software.
* Self-motivated and highly resilient, capable of working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
