Secondary Teacher Location: Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire Salary: £130 - £170 per day Start Date: ASAP GSL Education are seeking dynamic Secondary Teacher to work at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary School in Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible. Secondary Teacher Responsibilities: Delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students based on the curriculum guidelines and educational standards. Creating lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students. Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, asking questions, and participating actively in discussions. Monitoring and recording student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance, and communicating this information to parents and school administrators as required. Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning. Secondary Teacher Requirements: Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with valid teaching qualification (such as B.Ed. or B.A) with a PGCE. Teachers having ECT/NQT status are also welcome to apply. Experience working as a Teacher in a Secondary School setting. Passionate about teaching and in command of techniques to keep students engrossed. The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management, lesson-planning, patience and empathy. Provide a safe and supportive environment where all pupils are encouraged to learn, progress, and have aspirations for the future. Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
