Key Information
* Salary: £41,000 per year (plus £1,000 bonus after 12 months of service)
* Full‑time fixed shift rota: 4 shifts on with 4 days off (06:45‑19:00 for day shifts, 18:45‑07:00 for night shifts). Rota is published 2 years in advance.
* Estimated overtime: £3,500 per annum
* NMC/HCPC registration will be reimbursed
Responsibilities
* Provide medical care to detainees in custody suites, ensuring health and safety of all parties.
* Deliver round‑the‑clock healthcare across assigned custody suites and force area.
* Work in a team environment and support forensic and broader clinical care.
* Participate in continuous professional development and mandatory training.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN, RGN) or Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience.
* Experience in a patient‑facing role such as General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk‑in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service.
* Valid driving licence.
* Right to work in the UK – British passport, ILR for ≥3 years with no gaps >3 months.
* All candidates must satisfy Police vetting.
