HGV Driver (Environmental)

Job Responsibilities
* Operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) safely and efficiently to transport waste materials and environmental products across designated routes.
* Able to help with groundworks/civils
* High pressure jetting
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including tachograph and driver hours legislation.
* Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policies.
* Assist with loading and unloading of waste materials, adhering to safety protocols.
* Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
* Promote environmentally responsible driving practices to minimise carbon footprint.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with a clean driving record.
* Current CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) certification.
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* Experience in environmental or waste management transportation is desirable.
* Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and safety standards.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
