About the Role
We are looking for a key leader to play an integral part in our IT transformation programme and to help guide our software development and testing team through this transition. You will join the Delivery team as a Chapter Lead, overseeing a multidisciplinary squad that manages the full lifecycle of our products.
As Chapter Lead you will not only provide technical direction but also act as a people manager, collaborating with wider tribe leadership.
Your role as a People Manager
* Manage the full employee lifecycle for the chapter – recruitment, onboarding, talent development and separation.
* Set a vision and standards, creating an environment where people can thrive.
* Facilitate open and effective communication to foster knowledge transfer.
* Potentially manage external parties within our scalable resourcing models.
* Build and nurture talent, ensuring skill development and clear career pathways.
* Provide timely feedback and create a coaching‑first culture.
Your role as a Technical expert
* Offer proactive recommendations based on your technical expertise.
* Resolve conflict and collaborate to maintain engagement while delivering against plans.
* Collaborate closely with squads, product owners, and stakeholders to build strong relationships and drive continuous improvement.
* Participate in workshops and contribute technical insights to solution design.
About You
* Passionate about building and delivering great products to customers.
* Hold a master’s degree or equivalent experience.
* Have substantial experience as a developer using C# and working in multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Demonstrate strong people‑management skills, coaching and mentoring talent.
* Experience working in a DevOps environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Understand development methodologies; experience with TDD is advantageous.
* Curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
* Communicate openly to build transparency within the team and wider department.
