£44,460 (£19 per hour)
Working Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with 1 hour paid lunch break.
Local Building and Refurbishment Company based in Rainham Essex require a Skilled multi-trade to work with our existing team.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Operative who has a timed severed apprenticeship in your initial trade (e.g. Plumbing, Plastering, Bricklaying, etc.) and competent across a range of additional trades.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who can work independently, manage varied tasks, and deliver high‑quality workmanship across residential and/or commercial projects across London and Essex.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out works within your primary qualified trade to a high professional standard
* Undertake a variety of general building and maintenance tasks across multiple trades
* Complete reactive repairs, refurbishments, and project work
* Diagnose faults and recommend practical solutions
* Ensure all work complies with relevant building regulations and health & safety standards
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
* Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and team members
* Complete work within agreed timescales
Essential Requirements
* Fully qualified (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) in a recognised core trade
* Proven experience working across multiple trades
* Strong all‑round construction knowledge
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Have or be able to pass a DBS check
* Valid CSCS card
* Excellent problem‑solving skills
* Reliable, punctual, and professional
Desirable
* Experience in property maintenance or refurbishment
* Ability to read drawings and specifications
* Experience in both domestic and commercial settings
