Founding Engineer - Build the Future of Software Development
Location: 4x a week in London office
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + Stock Options (2% minimum) with increase in salary post-seed funding

The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a talented, driven Founding Engineer to join a team of passionate innovators as they set out to change how software is made. With a vision to make software creation as seamless and natural as possible, their team is building a tool that will empower organizations to build and scale apps. As an early member of this team, you’ll have a direct impact on the technology, product direction, and overall success of the company.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Work directly with the founder and founding engineers to create a tool that simplifies the software development process.
* Design, develop, and scale both front-end and back-end systems using TypeScript and React, and .Node.Js for backend.
* Contribute to a monorepo architecture and design elegant, high-quality solutions that solve complex technical challenges.
* Collaborate closely with the team to iterate and deliver impactful features that improve productivity and scalability for software teams.
* Play a significant role in developing both the core product and features that will empower users to understand and build software at scale.
What They’re Looking For
* Experience as a founding engineer, with an ambition to move into a CTO position in the future
* Strong coder, ideally with experience in TypeScript and React alongside, back-end, and infrastructure development.
* Strong experience in full-stack engineering, preferably lean more towards back-end engineering and in a monorepo setup.
* Solid experience with SQL and a passion for building robust, scalable systems.
* Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage start-up environment with an eagerness to take ownership of large, impactful projects.
* An enthusiasm for problem-solving and the ability to balance speed with quality.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a small, highly focused team.
