About The Role

About you

You will need to have current NMC registration and a good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices and experience of producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments is important too, as is an understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. Dedicated and compassionate, you’ll pride yourself on your person-centred, thoughtful approach to nursing.

Job Overview

Must have both experience working as a Deputy Manager in Nursing and Care home environments with a valid PIN & an understanding of the Standards as set out by the Care Quality Commission.

The role would is 40 hours per week, 16 hours supernumerary, 18 hours on the floor.

The Successful candidate will support the Registered Manager by leading a nursing team in driving forward standards of excellent clinical practice and a broader care team promoting excellent care delivery.

Supporting service manager during supernumerary shifts to monitor and review standards of care and performance in order to meet CQC regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Job

* Ensure Service Users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.

* Undertake the Care Planning activities for Service Users to meet changing physical, psychological and social needs, taking into consideration privacy, dignity, personal choice, and informed consent.

* Ensure Care Plans are developed in collaboration with Service Users, their family, and friends (where appropriate) and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

* Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.

* Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

* Work within the NMC Code of Conduct

* Act as a mentor to others and help to build strong team relationships.

* Update and monitor care plans, reviewing them as and when required

* Demonstrate strong clinical skills

* Ensuring that all documentation is compliant with NMC guidelines and legislation.

* Liaise with other healthcare professionals

* To provide nursing care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time
