Job Overview
We are hiring for a Field Applications Engineer to provide technical expertise and help customers find the best product and service solutions for their needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Working very closely with the sales team to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training of Turntide products or solutions remotely or at global customer locations.
2. Providing technical support to customers queries, RFQs, or design reviews related to Turntide’s products and ensure they are handled within the allotted time.
3. Verifying and validating product and systems configured or customised for customer usage to ensure the customer needs are met.
4. Collaborating with engineering team or domain expert to resolve difficult in-field issues in a prompt manner.
5. Partner with our Sales, Product & Engineering organizations to drive new business opportunities, improving the customer experience whilst bringing new customer insights back in-house for future product developments.
6. Supporting design for installation and maintenance activities as part of the development projects.
The Requirements
1. Bachelors degree or above in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field. Relevant engineering or technical experience could also be considered.
2. Technical background or experience in one or more of the following or relevant:
3. Electric motors
4. Battery storage solutions / Battery Management Systems
5. Experience in working with customers in technical setting, including team problems solving and solution selling.
6. Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, work orders and follow-up of historic troubleshooting findings and notes.
7. Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and principles
8. Commercial acumen and results driven.
9. Ability to quickly build a rapport with customers.
10. Must be able to travel domestically or internationally (sometimes with limited notice)
Bonus Points
It would also be great (but not essential) if in addition to the above you also had:
1. Knowledge of Functional Safety e.g. ISO26262, IEC61508, D0178B
2. Knowledge of EMC, Environmental, Product Safety and Electrical test standards e.g. ISO16750, ECE R10, R100
3. Experience in on highway, off highway or non-road industries
4. Experience presenting at industry events, customer events, STEM, etc.
