We are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join our client on a full time, permanent basis. As part of a larger team supporting the senior management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial duties, ensuring robust administration and accurate monthly reporting. What you will be doing:
Process sales and purchase invoices and credit notes
Raise funding requests, inter-company recharges, and prepayments
Posting journals
Manage weekly supplier payment runs
Maintain nominal, sales and purchase ledgers
Credit control
Monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts
Receive cash/cheque/BACS payments, accurately allocating cash to ledgers
Reconcile and post monthly credit card transactions
Assist with the quarterly VAT returns
Maintain the fixed asset register and post the monthly depreciation journal
Administer payroll and pension processes
Utilising XLedger software and Bright Pay
Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Assist the Head of Finance with the financial year end and the annual external audit
What we are looking for:
AAT qualified (or working towards) or relevant experience
Minimum 2 years experience within a finance role
Good attention to detail
Preferably experience working within the Charity Sector
Preferably experience of using a cloud-based ERP finance software (i.e. Xledger, Sage, Xero)
Full valid driving licence
Willingness to work flexibly (occasionally outside office hours or travel to other sites/locations)
