Hurst Automotive is a family owned and operated workshop that provides repairs and servicing on all models – from new vehicles, the farm truck, to treasured classics, as well as European cars. They believe in quality workmanship and products, stocking top brand batteries, oil and tyres.Hurst Automotive is seeking a full-time all round receptionist superstar to join our friendly team.
Tasks and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):- Day to day running of the workshop office and ensuring presentable front of house at all times- First point of contact for clients and directing where appropriate- Handling all incoming and outbound calls in a timely, polite and professional manner- Answering and responding to online enquiries or emails- Taking bookings/Scheduling car services via webSAM (bespoke auto-information management system) whilst providing great customer service- Taking and receipting payments and sending out invoices- Ordering supplies (work shop and front of house)/stock take- Monthly reconciliation using Xero- Sending out WOF/service reminders and general adhoc tasks- Keeping reception/staff room/toilets in a tidy and safe condition- Emailing mechanical insurers parts and labour costs and seeking their approval prior to commencing work- Organising quotes for private customers on mechanical jobs. Liaising with mechanics to ascertain the parts and labour costs on a job and getting customers approval prior to commencing work- Dealing with a variety of parts suppliers to organise and order automotive parts to complete mechanical repairs
The ideal candidate will
- Be customer-focused with an ability to build a rapport with clients- Have good time management and organisational skills- Have great written and verbal communication skills- Work well within a team environment and on their own using initiative to achieve company goals- Have the ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines- Have IT system knowledge and skills (experience using XERO and similar auto information management system not required, but advantageous)- Be friendly, reliable, presentable- Have a clean driver's license- Be a NZ resident or have a valid visa to work in New Zealand
