Apricus Resourcing are working with an award winning supplier as they are on the lookout for a dedicated substance misuse worker to join the team and work on an ongoing contract basis within one of their Young Persons teams in Wakfield. Your role will be based at a service that understands the impacts that drugs/alcohol can have, they are compassionate and help with a range of areas not just drug & alcohol. As a Recovery Worker you will be working within a brand new service that has recently opened. The service have a firm belief harm reduction is not about enabling drug use, it is pragmatic, non-judgmental and empowering. They offer a number of services including naxolone, overdose prevention centres, opioid substitutes, group sessions, 1-2-1’s & much more. The services main aim is to help service users across the region who are suffering with substance misuse issues. The role available is varied so you will be working with families as a whole, taking a holistic view to the recovery strategy offered to those coming to the service. You will be training to deliver MPACT and will be supported to deliver a range of group and 1-2-1 support.
