Overview
Qualified Social Worker, Looked After Children and Leaving Care Team — Pay rate £37.54 per hour — Contract role. We are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work in a Children Looked After and Leaving Care Team in Tower Hamlets. Senior Social Worker required for a Children Looked After Team role. Must be at least 5 years post qualified and must have worked in a similar role in a statutory social work service. Must have demonstrable court work and care proceedings experience, including preparing child permanence reports, and completing Adoption work in the courts. The team deals with children who are settled in care as well as taking all care proceedings from first hearing. We are not interested in candidates who do not wish to do court work. We will reject any candidates without the requisite experience. We work to a hybrid model and the successful candidate will be expected to be onsite in the office at least 2 days per week, more depending on work requirements.
Responsibilities
* Work within a Children Looked After and Leaving Care Team in Tower Hamlets, including involvement in care proceedings from first hearing.
* Carry out court work, prepare child permanence reports, and undertake Adoption work in the courts.
* Engage with a hybrid working model and be onsite at the office at least 2 days per week (more as required).
