Purpose of Job
To assist in the Procurement strategy of actuators and valves globally, with operational procurement responsibility for this portfolio in EU, including supplier development, price negotiation, innovation implementation, savings program and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support to the Procurement Manager and wider team as required.
* Support the procurement team to achieve its goals and objectives and monitor target delivery (commercial analyst function including reporting and analysis on VIP savings, cash generation, price‑to‑price movement, complexity reduction, compliance and forecasting).
* Support the development and implementation of A&V global procurement strategy.
* Represent the procurement function to ensure other functional areas receive timely procurement service.
* Lead or coordinate large procurement projects, support rationalisation of suppliers, materials and services.
* Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
* Provide expertise and drive implementation of identified metrics, tools and processes to optimise procurement activities.
Detailed Responsibilities
* Support Procurement Manager in category portfolio strategy, supplier management and supplier negotiation.
* Coordinate category projects including RFQs and subsequent analysis.
* Build and manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Support procurement directors and managers on presentations and updates.
* Prepare and execute team/project meetings, telecons and visits.
* Develop processes to capture global analysis of supplier spend and pricing.
* Represent Procurement Manager in global and regional meetings.
Value Activities
* Follow market conditions and price trends.
* Deliver VIP program for the portfolio.
* Lead or coordinate large savings projects.
* Support financial analysis of the portfolio.
* Use plastic cost model for evaluating supplier quotations.
Capacity Activities
* Identify metrics, tools and processes to optimise sourcing and supplier activities.
Innovation Activities
* Support launch of innovations and new product development.
* Lead or coordinate large procurement projects.
Quality & Service Activities
* Support resilience program implementation for global suppliers, create contingency plans.
* Lead learning transfer of best practices across globe regarding quality and service.
Specific for EU Role
* Create and update contracts, manage approval process and ensure UPA’s/CTC are in place.
* Manage quarterly price update process, resin updates, analyse price files.
* Manage price forecasting and variance analysis.
* Approve invoices, ensure suppliers paid on time and handle payment queries.
* Support mould management and health of actuator moulds.
* Manage compliance program for A&V suppliers, liaise with UL compliance.
* Track key savings initiatives, record in SRS, interface with Finance on approvals.
* Communicate market/cluster updates to stakeholders.
Measures

* Maintenance of SRS for EU Cost Savings and VIP Savings Projects.
