Rother District Council is an ambitious Council at the heart of 1066 Country in East Sussex, based in Bexhill‑on‑Sea. The district also covers the historic towns of Battle and Rye and a large, attractive rural area within the High Weald National Landscape.
The Corporate Development Team (CDT) sits in a unique position of managing projects spanning council service areas, aiming to deliver an ambitious £124m of capital investment over the next five years.
We are looking for an experienced Developments Project Surveyor with an extensive Quantity Surveyor or PQS background to work closely with the Project Manager and deliver several high‑profile schemes, including Leisure Centre Refurbishments, Community Hubs, and Doctor’s Surgeries.
Salary and Benefits
£46,063 – £50,669 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. The post includes a market supplement of up to £3,000 for the first year.

Responsibilities
* Manage project budgets and cashflows
* Oversee procurement, tendering and selection of consultants, contractors and suppliers, including drafting agreements
* Contract administration
* Advise on value engineering
