Part-Time Finance Manager
Yate, Bristol – Office Based
Part-time – 3 days per week
We are an established and growing business based in Yate, Bristol, specialising in product sourcing and distribution. We work closely with overseas suppliers and UK customers and pride ourselves on maintaining strong supplier relationships and efficient financial operations.
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage the company’s financial operations, ensuring strong financial control, cash flow management, and accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers and freight partners while maintaining financial records using SAGE accounting software.
The Role
* Manage company cash flow, banking and payment schedules
* Process and reconcile financial transactions using SAGE
* Manage payments to UK and overseas suppliers, including foreign currency transactions
* Book incoming stock onto SAGE and maintain internal booking records
* Process remittances and reconcile customer payments
* Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements including VAT and Corporation Tax
* Maintain accurate accounts to support external accountants and process VAT and Corporation Tax payments as advised
* Post Postponed VAT Accounting certificates where required
* Prepare monthly financial reports including bank statements, aged creditors and tax positions
About You
* Strong accounting background
* Good working knowledge of SAGE accounting software
* Strong Excel skills
* Experience managing cash flow, reconciliations and supplier payments
* Well organised with strong attention to detail
