Based in the heart of Oban, this is a fast-paced, front-line role providing excellent customer service to visitors and locals using West Coast Tours (WCT), West Coast Motors (WCM)and services operated by WCM on behalf of Scottish Citylink. As well as customer service, the role includes sales and the preparation of travel tickets for West Coast Tours island tours, helping customers plan memorable journeys across the west coast of Scotland. Key responsibilities Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service at all times Assist customers with enquiries relating to: West Coast Tours (WCT) West Coast Motors (WCM) Scottish Citylink services operated by WCM Sell tickets and products accurately and confidently Prepare and issue travel tickets for West Coast Tours island tours Handle payments and operate ticketing and booking systems Provide clear, helpful travel information and advice to customers Manage queues and customer flow during busy periods Deal calmly and professionally with customer queries or complaints Work as part of a small, close-knit team in a high-volume retail environment Ensure the shop is kept clean, tidy and welcoming About you We’re looking for someone who: Enjoys working with people and delivering excellent customer service Is confident, friendly and approachable Can remain calm and organised in a busy, sometimes pressured environment Has good communication and numeracy skills Is reliable and punctual, with a flexible approach to working hours Is comfortable working weekends Works well as part of a team but can also use their own initiative Previous customer service or sales experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.
