Senior Social Worker
Shropshire Council, Shrewsbury, England, United Kingdom - An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Fostering Senior Social Worker within Shropshire Council’s Kinship Assessment team with the Children's Placement Service. The role provides the opportunity to work with Kinship Foster Carers and colleagues across Children's Service. You will support the shared vision for children to receive the best care and for Shropshire Councils Fostering Families to be provided the best support. The successful candidate will primarily have a caseload of assessments for Kinship Foster Carers and Potential Special Guardians. The successful candidate will assess, support and supervise kinship carers, ensuring stable and nurturing home environments are afforded to Shropshire’s children and young people, with the ultimate goal of securing permanence for Shropshire’s looked after children. The role will also involve working in line with Fostering Regulations, undertaking FORM K and SGO assessments, supervision, support visits, contributing to fostering events and ensuring children are safeguarded in our care. We are looking for experienced qualified social workers who have enthusiasm, positivity, flexibility, the ability to work to timescales and have a commitment to contributing to the development of the team and our kinship foster carers.
