Key Responsibilities Work alongside subject staff to support the delivery of English, Maths, PSHE, and vocational curriculum within a high-support SEN provision. Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning by promoting inclusion, developing communication skills, managing behaviour, fostering independence, and social skills. Take responsibility for monitoring and reporting on behaviour and attendance to parents for students in the provision. Provide supervision, guidance, and learning opportunities during non-lesson activities. Complement the work of teaching staff by delivering agreed learning activities, interventions, and support. Role Requirements Act as a form tutor for a small group of students within a KS3 SEN provision. Deliver academic and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) support to help students overcome barriers and re-engage with their education. Plan, deliver, and monitor academic and SEMH interventions tailored to the needs of SEN students. Mentor identified SEN students. Prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals or small groups within the SEN provision. Under teacher guidance, support delivery of GCSE and functional skills Maths and English to small groups or individuals. Monitor, assess, record, and report on pupil progress and development. Support the development of literacy and numeracy skills across lessons. Use specialist skills to assess and meet pupil learning needs. Monitor and evaluate pupil responses through various assessment strategies. Assist with student transport by supporting the minibus driver before and after school.
