Torbay

 A well-established construction company are seeking contractor is seeking a works supervisor to join their team in a predominantly office-based role, overseeing small works and reactive maintenance projects for a range of public-sector clients, including schools, hospitals, and local authorities. 
 The Role
 This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, trade-experienced professional who enjoys variety and client interaction. You’ll act as the link between clients and site teams, managing incoming reactive jobs, visiting sites to assess requirements, and coordinating the right people and resources to deliver quality solutions. 
 Key Responsibilities
Meet with clients to assess small works and maintenance issues
Scope and price minor repairs (e.g., joinery, decorating, basic structural or groundwork repairs)
Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance works across multiple trades
Liaise with trades teams and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
Identify additional works and provide professional advice on solutions
Maintain clear records and documentation in line with internal systems
About You
Ideally you will have a trade background (carpentry, joinery, general building, etc.)
Holds SMSTS (preferred) or SSSTS (acceptable)
Confident managing small reactive and planned works
Organised, approachable, and able to communicate effectively with clients and tradespeople
Some estimating or pricing experience desirable but not essential
