Required as soon as possible, we are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team. If you are interested in working with young people and would like to help them as they prepare for their future working lives, we would like to hear from you.
About the role
We're seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to assist with the basic preparation of food which may include some cooking and assist with the setting up of servery counters for lunch and general cleaning of the kitchen and associated areas. The successful candidate will have good timekeeping and the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
To succeed, you will have excellent communication, organisational and customer care skills, the ability to operate IT equipment e.g. tills is essential. We are keen to secure a positive Catering Assistant who can make a telling contribution to our team. The department is part of a well-led, mutually supportive Catering team and the appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a Catering Manager and a strong SLT.
