A Secondary School in Bolton is seeking a highly organised individual to manage daily teaching cover, coordinate educational visits, and oversee the planning of school events and the school calendar on a permanent basis from September.

Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent, Term time only
Hours: 7:30-4 Monday-Thursday, 7:30-12 Friday
Salary: £27,269 - £29,903 DOE
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
* Manage the daily cover rota, ensuring fair allocation and adherence to budget and policy
* Liaise with HR on staff absences and arrange internal or agency cover as needed
* Coordinate room changes and ensure cover for staff attending meetings, events, or trips
* Maintain cover records and produce weekly reports
* Manage ParentPay and liaise with finance on supply costs
* Support trip leaders with planning and compliance (risk assessments, safeguarding, etc.)
* Oversee the online trip approval system
* Book transport/venues and ensure all admin and finance processes are followed
* Plan and coordinate key school events (e.g., Open Evenings, Sports Day)
* Support extra-curricular activity planning
* Maintain the school calendar and manage room bookings for meetings and exams
* Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies (safeguarding, H&S, data protection)
* Provide admin support and contribute to a collaborative office environment
* Oversee the franking machine and photocopier maintenance
Key Skills/Experience:
* Experience working within a school office environment is desired
* Experience in cover management would be ideal
* Strong organisational, planning, and administrative skills
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
