ROLE DESCRIPTION
Role Title: Civils Operative/Ground Worker
Team: Operations
Reports to: Operations Manager
Nationwide – based in Birmingham
The Role
We are looking for someone with previous experience to install ANPR and Pay & Display parking management systems across the UK estate. You must have a Full Clean UK Driving License, be willing to travel around the UK on a daily basis and be able to stay overnight if required.
Principle Accountabilities
* All aspects of groundworks, including digging trenches, laying cables, conduit work and block paving.
* Installation of signage, ANPR cameras, P&D machines, Tablets, and street furniture.
Qualifications/Personal Attributes
* Full valid and clean UK driving licence.
* Level 1 Certificate in Groundworks or Construction Skills, or Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Groundwork and General Construction is desirable.
* CSCS card desirable.
* Flexible to travel around the UK, with frequent overnight stays.
* Work well on own initiative.
* Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
* Physically fit and able to undertake groundworks and installation duties.
* Safety conscious with a real focus on Health & Safety on site.
* Strong organisation skills.
* Hardworking, conscientious and take pride in own work.
Technical Competencies
* Experience of all aspects of groundworks in a public environment.
* Experience of light plant, such as cut off saws, hydraulic breakers, Cable Scanners.
* Ability to interpret plans and site proposals.
