Role Overview
This role will carry out daily tasks to create a safe and secure working environment for all visitors and staff, while ensuring high standards of customer service.
What You’ll Do
 * Demonstrate a positive commitment to a high level of customer service, professional presentation, and confidentiality at all times.
 * Display excellent situational awareness.
 * Facilitate access/egress to buildings while maintaining strong client-facing and customer service skills.
 * Be aware of protest and demonstration activity and respond/escalate as appropriate.
 * Assist staff, guests, contractors and public bodies by providing information, directions, or answering queries in a professional manner.
 * Follow all operating procedures and maintain accurate records/logs, submitting reports as instructed.
 * Assist during major incidents as instructed.
 * Display your SIA licence visibly when on duty.
 * Participate in staff welfare or development programmes and mandatory training.
 * Use communication tools (radio/phones) confidently and clearly.
 * Carry out any other reasonable requests as required.
Who You’ll Be
 * Clearance to BS7858
 * SIA Licence – Security Guard (SG)
 * SIA Licence – Door Supervisor (DS) (if applicable to scope)
 * SIA Licence – CCTV (if applicable to scope)
 * First aid qualification
 * Customer service experience
 * Written and verbal communication skills to meet role deliverables
 * Experience using IT software (Word, Teams, Outlook)
 * Reliable, punctual and approachable
 * Professional appearance and flexible in daily duties
 * Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
 * Able to work alone with initiative and as part of a team
