A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to take ownership of payroll and benefits delivery for a multi-site organisation. This is a new role for the business where you will work as part of the people team but also work closely with the finance department and other senior stakeholders in the business.
Below is an overview of the responsibilities for this role:
* Taking full accountability for accurate and timely payroll delivery across multiple PAYE schemes
* Overseeing monthly payroll processing (salaried, hourly, overtime), supported by a team member
* Ensuring robust payroll controls, checks, and sign-off procedures are in place
* Being the point of escalation for complex payroll queries
* Ensuring compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, RTI, pensions, and statutory reporting
* Managing year-end processes and documentation (P60s, P11Ds, P45s)
* Overseeing pension schemes and auto-enrolment compliance
* Manage employee benefit schemes and providing guidance to staff
* Reviewing and enhancing benefits offerings, including salary sacrifice schemes
* Supporting pay reviews, bonuses, and salary changes
* Supporting with the integration of payroll processing post acquisition
* Working in collaboration to optimise system usage
* Continuous improvement across payroll and reward processes
