Job overview
Lead a new Legal & Risk service, undertaking complex employee relations investigations, cultural reviews, report writing, team interventions, and bespoke training, working autonomously guided by organisational policies.
Main duties of the job
1. Oversee and undertake investigations related to clinical and non-clinical employees, including disciplinary, grievance, bullying, harassment, and other matters requiring investigation.
2. Analyze highly confidential and sometimes distressing information; attend Disciplinary and/or Appeal Hearings to present cases with support from a Workforce Advisor.
3. Ensure timely and appropriate handling of employee relations issues.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and identify collaborative opportunities.
5. Provide subject matter expertise as required.
6. Advise and participate in relevant working groups, providing guidance to Workforce Directors and NHS Employers on All Wales issues and policies.
7. Collaborate with the wider team to use evidence for advising on preventative actions related to recent legislation like the Worker Protection Act.
8. Deliver development sessions on risk management of cultural issues to Boards and teams.

* Postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience.
* Registration with relevant professional body (e.g., CIPD).
* Specialist knowledge of investigations, intersectionality, and external landscape through additional training.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Willingness to undertake legal qualification.
* NHS background and understanding of partnership working.
* Coaching qualification.
