Recovery Worker (Internally known as Recovery Partner)

The Role:
The primary purpose of a recovery partner is to support the people you work with to develop their skills in order to maintain their independence, health and wellbeing. You will work as part of a team providing person – centred care, which includes tasks to ensure safe and comfortable accommodation, and being proactively involved in activities both inside and outside of the home.
You are passionate about working together and getting to know each person in the house and helping them to develop greater self – reliance and independence to better manager their own mental and physical well- being.
The appointed Recovery Partner will:
* Have experience of working in mental health services or lived experiences, working with individuals who have forensic/offending history and/or complex needs.
* Have an understanding of recovery focused and asset-based support, and how to apply positive risk management.
* Have an understanding of substance misuse issues and how to work with clients to safely manage their substance misuse.
* Possess or be willing to work towards a relevant Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
* Have an understanding personalisation in the context of support, and best practice around person cantered working and positive risk taking.
About you:
You will be experienced and passionate about supporting people though their recovery journey, thinking creatively, innovatively and always taking a can-do approach to give the best possible support. You will have experience of positive risk management, knowledge of CQC regulations and have experience of supporting people in their day to day life.
You will be flexible able to meet the needs of the service, including working day time, evening, weekend, bank holidays and sleep in shifts on a rota basis. You will feel confident to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, building positive relationships within the local community.
