JOB DESCRIPTION

The BPNRC is an internationally recognised group exploring how diet influences the brain, behaviour, and well‑being. Our work uses rigorous randomised controlled trials to investigate the effects of nutritional interventions—from single dietary components to whole foods—on brain function and performance.
As part of the School of Psychology, our team of nutritional neuroscientists employs a wide range of techniques, including cognitive and behavioural assessment, neuroimaging, sleep actigraphy, autonomic nervous system monitoring, and biological sample analysis to identify physiological and psychological markers of change. We are seeking motivated researchers to join our team to contribute to this research.

ROLE DETAILS

The role is fixed term from 01/01/2026 to 31/05/2026. Two positions are available, one full time and one part time (22.2 hours).

This research project is being delivered within the School of Psychology's Brain, Performance and Nutrition Research Centre by Prof Crystal Haskell‑Ramsay, Dr Philippa Jackson & Dr Ellen Smith.

ABOUT YOU

Applicants should hold at least a BSc in a relevant field and have demonstrable specialist expert knowledge of the relationship between the diet and the brain. Further information about the requirements of the role is available in the person specification.
