As a Community Children's Nurse within Sirona, I have developed my clinical skills and enjoy helping to keep children at home whenever possible. My role helps keep children and their families together, providing great job satisfaction. The service is based in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, and supports children aged 0-19 across four Integrated Care Board areas: Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, and B&NES.
This role involves 3 night shifts and 1 day shift per week. The purpose is to undertake clinical shifts alongside Lifetime Support Workers in children’s homes or schools, observing clinical competencies and conducting annual assessments for children meeting Continuing Care Criteria. The role includes clinical support to the rota coordination team.
You will line manage a team of Lifetime Support Workers, including performance reviews, assessments, and managing absences. You will also assist in delivering clinical skills training to support workers, ensuring evidence-based interventions aligned with national guidance.
The role requires travel across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, visiting children at home or school and liaising with other care teams.
Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
