Youll be accountable for performance metrics such as production rate, fuel usage and energy consumption, working closely with the Production Manager you'll be responsible for a team of five Shift Managers and their teams. Working MondayFriday, 08:00-16:00 with on-call support one week in every six, youll steer both short-term performance and long-term improvement initiatives in a heavy-industry environment. What You'll Be Doing Leading and motivating the Shift Managers and their teams to deliver safety, production and efficiency targets. Monitoring KPIs like fuel and energy consumption, production output and plant reliability. Driving improvement projects to enhance plant performance, alternative fuel optimisation and stock management. Managing departmental budgets, supply planning and coordination of production programmes. Supporting health, safety and environmental compliance, including toolbox talks, incident reviews and statutory inspections. Overseeing raw-material input through to finished product, working cross-functionally with stakeholders. Who you are Experienced in process or heavy-industry operations (cement, manufacturing, power, or related). An excellent people manager, able to develop teams, influence performance and lead change. Technically competent, with an analytical mindset. Comfortable using IT systems (SAP experience would be advantageous) and producing performance reports.
