Yuefeng Transportation Ltd. is expending the operation at the warehouse facility in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. Importing containers from around the world. We have set up a new Transport operation dedicated to the site, and is now expanding.
We are looking for experienced LGV drivers to join our team to perform collection and delivery from various ports around the country. The shift we're looking to fill will start from 14:00 -17:00 in the afternoon. The job will be continuous through next year. This fleet will grow over a period of time and other positions will be available double shifting a modern vehicle fleet.
We are recruiting under 2 contracts to supplement our existing Driver workforce employed direct for the operator not an agency. You will be employed direct on a PAYE Contract & we will not be employing LTD Company drivers:
1) 3-day contract position with the option to work on non rota'd days.
2) 0-hour contract for flexible work pattern.
No Nights out, no handball, clean modern tractor fleet.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
· Collecting clients containers from port and delivering to our warehouse in Wolverhampton.
· Operate in a busy port environment.
· 100% Trunking / RDC Delivery
· Required to keep up to date with the required pre-shift vehicle checks, completed paperwork and other normal administrative tasks
· Expected to maintain your Driver hours in accordance with Working Time Regulations & EU Drivers hours regulations
· Drive in a manner in accordance with the highway code
· Operate to the highest standards and follow instruction and Trainings.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* LGV (Cat C+E) Licence
* Up to date DCPC and Digicard
* RHIDES Card ideally but training can be given.
* Port Experience is required, particularly Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gatwick, but training will be offered to the right candidates
* Able to operate Skeletal trailers at 20ft, 40ft and 45ft settings.
* No DD, TT, DR or CD codes on your Licence
* No more than 6 points
* Able to provide references
* More than 12 months driving experience
* Flexible approach to work & good communication skills
* Organised and able to resolve problems.
* Able to perform simple maintenance tasks EG: changing a bulb, changing a suzie line. Plus other simple tasks.
* Physically fit to perform normal driver duties
Benefits:
Rate of £170 per shift on either days or nights. Break not paid.
· Hours on average are less than 10 hrs as the vehicle is double shifted.
· £170 includes a £40 bonus for no accidents and following the driver induction package
· Holiday pay is accrued on a daily basis.

What does a normal day look like:
· Start circa 14:00 / 17:00 7 days a week
· Complete a thorough daily check of the vehicle and complete all necessary paperwork.
· Drive to Felixstowe Port
· Drop empty container
· Collect Loaded Container
· Return to Wolverhampton Warehouse
· Leave container on the bay with doors closed for the day shift to start de kitting.
Or:
· Deliver goods to local RDC – Cannock, Coventry, Doncaster etc
