The role SEN Teaching assistant
* The successful SEN Teaching assistant will support children and young people aged 2-19 who have autism and social communication, cognitive, sensory and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
* Providing one-to-one or small group support to students, assisting with learning tasks and promoting their inclusion in classroom activities.
* Build a trusting and positive relationship with students and communicate according to their understanding.
* Under the guidance of teaching staff, provide feedback to students, parents and carers about their progress, achievements and any potential issues.
* Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to implement individualised education plans and behaviour support strategies.
* Develop independence and communication skills to ensure meaningful outcomes for all students.
