Histopathology Quality Admin Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a motivated and well‑organised individual to join our highly skilled Histopathology team. The role is based in the Histopathology Department and involves delivering a high‑quality service with patients at the centre of everything we do.
Main Duties
* Perform departmental audits and raise non‑conformances via the QMS
* Assist in the preparation of the quality report for the Quality and Governance meeting
* Generate outstanding work lists and manage samples referred to external laboratories
* Follow departmental policies to ensure maintenance of quality standards
* Monitor the audit schedule and work with the Section Manager and Quality Lead to plan the audit schedule
* Data entry for trend analysis and assist the Section Lead to identify trends
* Data entry of EQA results and document non‑conformances on the QMS
Qualifications
* A levels/NVQ3 in biology or equivalent experience
* IT Qualification
Experience
* 1 year experience in NHS Histopathology Laboratory
* LIMS experience
* QMS experience
* Trend analysis experience
Knowledge
* ISO 15189 knowledge
* Audit knowledge
* Knowledge of IT systems
Skills
* Prioritisation of workload
* Collation of reports
