Gartnavel Royal Hospital/HSCP Estates Department is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, resilient, and hardworking Maintenance Multi Skilled Electrical Technician to join their team. The role involves maintaining a wide range of building services plant and equipment, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building systems.
The successful candidate will deliver electrical services tailored to NHS GG&C Health Board needs, ensuring the safety and quality of healthcare facilities through planned maintenance, repairs, and installations. Responsibilities include inspecting faults, carrying out preventative maintenance, adhering to health and safety policies, undertaking minor modifications, and testing electrical circuits according to regulations.
Work hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:00-16:00, and Friday, 08:00-15:30, with participation in on-call duties for emergency repairs outside normal hours. Applicants should have a recognized electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, extensive relevant experience, and a suitable qualification such as an HNC or equivalent. Training to be certified as a Competent Person will be provided, with ongoing refresher training as needed.
