SEMH Teacher – Alternative Provision

Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of one of our partner Alternative Provisions for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role:
* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
* Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
* Build strong, positive relationships to support behaviour and emotional regulation
* Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals
* Track progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification
* Experience working with SEMH, SEND, Alternative Provision or challenging behaviour (essential)
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* A calm, patient and resilient approach
* Passionate about making a genuine difference in young people’s lives
